Onsite Representative / QAQC Inspector - Heavy Civil

Responsibilities

• Implement Quality Control practices and procedures.
• Ensure all work is in conformance with the contractual requirements.
• Verify all material incorporated into the project conforms to all submittals, project specifications and drawings.
• Create/Prepare outgoing correspondence to the clients, subcontractors, and other outside entities, ensuring accuracy, quality and professionalism of work.
• Schedule and review all special inspection and material testing performed by third parties.
• Serve as the primary onsite representative for the owner during construction.
• Maintain detailed daily inspection reports, photos, and records.
• Coordinate with contractors, clients, regulatory agencies, and design engineers to resolve field issues.
• Review and verify contractor submittals, test reports, and materials for compliance with project requirements.
• Perform QAQC checks on workmanship and materials; identify and document deficiencies or non-conformances.
• Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with project stakeholders.
• Aid in punch list development and final project closeout inspections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is highly desired in the related fields of Construction Management or Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years' heavy civil experience in a QA/QC capacity.
• Familiarity with local/state/federal environmental and safety regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and field reporting software (e.g., e-Builder, Procore, etc.).
• OSHA 30 preferred.

Physical Demands

• The employee is seldom required to sit.
• The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear;
• Work at elevated heights.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Compensation Package

• Pay Range: $140,000 – 180,000 (DOE)
• Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA, EAP, 401(k) and match, 9 paid holidays, 16 days of PTO, opportunity for stock ownership, and wellness reimbursement.
• Onsite Representative / QAQC Inspector - Heavy Civil assigned to projects more than 70 miles from their residence are eligible for subsistence.
• We also offer a company truck or vehicle allowance, along with mobile phone options.
