Duties

  • Emergency Medical Response: Provide immediate medical care in response to accidents, injuries, or medical emergencies occurring on the construction site.
  • Assess and stabilize injured or ill workers, administer appropriate medical interventions, and coordinate transportation to a medical facility if necessary.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all medical assessments, treatments, and interventions.
  • Injury Prevention and Safety: Conduct regular safety walks to identify potential risks.
  • Collaborate with the project team to implement preventive measures.
  • Provide ongoing education and training to workers on topics such as first aid, CPR, workplace safety, and injury prevention.
  • Health Assessment and Monitoring: Implement and oversee the workplace wellness program, including health screenings, assessments, education, and preventative care to all onsite partners.
  • Monitor and manage employee health concerns, such as workplace injuries, illnesses, and exposure to hazardous materials.
  • Manage client's onsite drugs of abuse program.
  • Medical Equipment and Supplies Management: Ensure the availability and proper function of medical equipment, supplies, and medications necessary for emergency care and first aid.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks, maintain stock levels, and oversee the storage and organization of medical supplies.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the onsite clinic and office.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all medical incidents, treatments, and follow-up care provided to workers.
  • Prepare incident reports, injury logs, and other documentation required for regulatory compliance and internal reporting purposes.
  • Communicate effectively with management, project team, and external agencies.

Conditions of Employment

  • Current State or National Certification or Registration as an EMT or Paramedic required.
  • Active BLS for Healthcare Providers Certification required.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a pre-hospital or clinical environment preferred.
  • OSHA 30 Construction certification - Must obtain within first 30 days of employment (Employer Provided).
  • Familiarity with occupational health and safety regulations, including OSHA standards preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees and clients at all levels required.
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment required.
  • Must be able to adapt to changes without compromise and become proficient quickly.
  • Must be able to operate effectively in unpredictable situations.
  • Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and/or diagram form.
  • Comfortable in a construction environment.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl; must be able to regularly lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
  • Must be comfortable working at heights.
  • This position is considered a critical function within the company; subject to call back and overtime if required.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • Must adhere to all work rules, procedures, and standards.
