Onsite Internship: IT - Web Development (Fall & Spring)
About the role
The International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans has a paid, onsite IT Web Development Internship opportunity available for Fall 2026 (limited term, temporary/seasonal). We are considering any current college students who are majoring in IT; preferably with a Sophomore, Junior or Senior standing.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of web pages and components.
- Update and manage website content using content management systems (CMS).
- Support efforts to improve website usability, accessibility (e.g., WCAG standards), and overall user experience.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement web updates and enhancements.
- Perform quality assurance testing across browsers and devices to ensure consistent functionality.
- Absorb and analyze website performance and recommend improvements.
- Participate in IT and cross-functional meetings related to web and digital initiatives.
- Create and maintain documentation for website updates and development processes.
- Support digital projects, including UX/UI improvements and content restructuring initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned by IT leadership.
Requirements
- Enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Web Development, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Demonstrated interest in user experience design, accessibility, and web development.
- Experience with web content updates, site structure improvements, or UX optimization is preferred.

Pay
The wage for this hourly, non-exempt level position is $16.00/hour.
Schedule & Work Environment
- The target schedule for this role will be 15-20 hours per week, between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm CST, Tuesday through Thursday. Additional hours may be available on Mondays and Fridays.
- It is preferred that the person have a set schedule for the duration of the internship, however, we can accommodate a flexible schedule for the right candidate.
