Onsite Industrial Maintenance Technician III - 3rd shift

About the role

Pitney Bowes is hiring a Direct Hire Full Time Onsite Industrial Maintenance Technician III in Houston, TX. The role offers a base rate of $27.50/hr with an additional $2.00/hr for 3rd shift work.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, or diagnose complex mechanical or electrical issues on industrial equipment
• Perform complex mechanical and electronic repairs of conveyor machines, PLC systems, and other industrial electromechanical production equipment (mail sorters/printers)
• Conduct electrical and mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance, and installations on industrial machinery including belt/pulley systems, hydraulic and pneumatic components, motors, photo-eyes, relays, drive assemblies, limit switches, proximity sensors, and solenoids
• Complete preventative maintenance according to industry quality standards
• Respond to equipment breakdowns or emergency situations
• Utilize inventory, PM schedule, and work order systems to reduce downtime
• Maintain spare parts/supply inventory utilizing EAME
• Evaluate and assess equipment problems by troubleshooting and completing repairs in a timely manner
• Use a tablet to track assigned work, machine downtime, and inventory used in repair

Requirements

• 2–6 years of direct experience troubleshooting and repairing complex industrial mechanical equipment
• Strong familiarity servicing conveyor machines, PLC systems, and other industrial electromechanical production equipment
• Experience using a multi-meter or other electronic testing equipment
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, charts, service manuals, and parts diagrams
• Familiarity with Windows PC environments as they pertain to automated equipment
• Excellent problem-solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot equipment problems, read schematics, establish priorities, and work under deadline pressures

• 3rd shift options: Monday–Friday, 11:00 pm–7:30 am, or 3:00 pm–11:30 pm based on business needs
