Onsite Haitian Creole Freelance Interpreter

We are seeking an on-site US-based Haitian Creole interpreter to provide interpretation services in medical, educational, and other settings, empowering individuals to advocate for themselves and their needs.

Responsibilities

• Effectively interpret between Haitian Creole and English and vice versa
• Adhere to NCIHC Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice
• Accurately complete assigned tasks, duties, projects, and paperwork promptly and within approved guidelines
• Quickly learn and implement new and changing technologies
• Work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly regulated environment
• Complete additional duties and assignments on an ongoing basis

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of interpretation experience
• Proficient computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, email, electronic scheduling, and internet
• Excellent written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
