Position Requirements

• Preferred 1 year of construction oversight experience.
• A positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Strong mechanical skills.
• Understanding of environmental and health & safety regulations and performing work in a compliant manner with the regulations and facility safety requirements.
• Willingness to support the project team to service clients and complete projects on time and on budget.
• Ability to perform physical labor, including the ability to physically move around outdoors in various terrains, occasionally lift and carry objects and equipment, and climb ladders to access areas.
• Use of a personal vehicle and valid driver’s license to travel between worksites (note: a Company vehicle may be available for use).
• Field work year-round, most of which is outdoors.

Preferred Requirements

• Experience with construction oversight and inspections.
• Experience with remediation systems preferred.
• Familiarity with environmental equipment and sampling techniques is preferred.
• Valid Site Safety Training (SST) card is preferred.
• Valid OSHA 40 HAZWOPER Certification and 8-Hour Refresher course certification.

Essential Duties

• Oversight of construction activities with an emphasis on environmental compliance, air monitoring, and health and safety.
• Assistance with site remediation system operations and maintenance activities.
• Inspection of system equipment to evaluate remedial system performance and identify potential malfunctions.
• Maintenance of system components to ensure or restore proper operation and compliance.
• Collecting soil and soil gas samples.
• Collection of samples from monitoring wells and recovery wells.
• Collecting, recording, and evaluating system performance data.
• Oversight and supervision of subcontractors involved in environmental remediation and system maintenance and repairs.

Work Environment

• Works predominantly in the field working independently or as part of a larger team at exterior project sites (i.e., construction projects, industrial/brownfield facilities, monitoring wells, treatment systems).
• Requires the ability to drive to different project sites and physically move around outdoors in various terrains, in adverse weather conditions and occasionally for extended or irregular hours.
• Conducting work involves the use of hand-held monitoring instruments and tools, as well as air monitoring equipment and water sampling equipment, which requires the ability to routinely lift and carry objects, stand, walk, reach, bend, squat, kneel and twist.
• Office work is primarily stationary/sedentary using a computer and keyboard/mouse requiring repetitive hand movements.

Pay

Hourly Salary Rate Range: $26-32 per hour. This hourly rate range is based on what Roux in good faith believes it might pay at the time of posting for this position and for this geographic location. Actual compensation may vary based on job-related factors such as relevant work experience, market conditions, education/training, certifications, skill sets, and internal equity.
