Onsite Electrical Engineer
About the role
The Excellerate Resident Engineer (ERE) supports production and manufacturing teams with direct engineering support, focusing on issue resolution, innovation, and process enhancement. This role interacts with various departments including Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Operations Engineering, and Project Management.
Responsibilities
- Operates computer-assisted engineering and design software (ACADE, Inventor) to perform engineering tasks.
- Utilizes Design for Excellence (DFX), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.
- Performs electrical, mechanical, and structural troubleshooting, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Reviews customer project requirements, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure proper application of products.
- Studies and understands relevant government and industry standards governing product manufacture.
- Communicates with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Operations Engineering, and Project Management staff regularly.
- Prepares technical drawings and electrical specifications to align with standards and customer requirements.
- Participates and presents technical information during design meetings or reviews.
- Maintains accurate field and facility observations and notes.
- Self-checks work against established drawing and design specifications and standards.
- Provides technical assistance for prototypes, pilot builds, and production support.
- Solves immediate issues to prevent facility downtime and tracks progress.
- Coordinates with various engineering and production teams, acting as a point of contact (POC) and liaison.
- Increases core engineering knowledge and builds processes for manufacturing.
- Prepares comprehensive assessment reports for engineering and production leadership.
- Periodically travels to project sites for evaluations and data collection.
- Displays strong organizational, communication, coordination, and planning skills.
- Promotes collaboration between Faith, Excellerate, and EnTech.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering - Electrical, or Associate Degree in Electrical Technology.
- Experience: 5 years of progressive electrical engineering-related experience.
- Travel: 5-10%.
- Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 5 PM.
Qualifications
Must have strong organizational, communication, coordination, and planning skills. Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively. Must be proficient in using computer-assisted engineering and design software such as ACADE and Inventor. Must have a solid understanding of electrical, mechanical, and structural principles and troubleshooting techniques. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay
Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
