Online Tutor
About the role
Careerscape is hiring enthusiastic Online Tutors to teach students from home. Whether your strength is math, science, English, or test prep, you'll help learners build confidence — on a flexible schedule you control.
Compensation
$25–$40 per hour, based on subject and experience.
What you'll do
- Deliver engaging one-on-one and small-group online sessions
- Teach and reinforce concepts in your subject area
- Create lesson plans tailored to each student
- Track progress and share feedback with families
- Adapt your approach to different learning styles
We're looking for
- Strong knowledge in at least one subject (math, science, English, test prep, etc.)
- Excellent communication and a patient, encouraging style
- Comfort with video conferencing and online whiteboard tools
- Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet space to teach
- A high school diploma required
Nice to have
- Teaching, tutoring, or mentoring experience
- College coursework or a degree in your subject
