About the role

UpLift is a multi-sided marketplace that uses technology to connect patients with mental healthcare providers covered by their insurance plan. Despite the prevalence of mental health issues, only 40% of those affected receive care annually, and only 30% of therapists accept insurance. Our mission is to bridge this gap by providing access to quality care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct video consultations and message sessions with patients via telemedicine.
• Assess, screen, diagnose, and prescribe medication as clinically appropriate.
• Collaborate with UpLift’s network of licensed therapists to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Provide empathetic, high-quality care aligned with UpLift’s clinical and service standards.
• Share feedback on product and workflow improvements with UpLift’s engineering and operations teams.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience as a licensed Psychiatrist.
• Active medical license in good standing.
• Comfortable prescribing medication within legal and ethical guidelines.
• Skilled in using online tools and technology for virtual care delivery.
• Previous telemedicine experience is beneficial.
• Multiple state licenses and fluency in additional languages are advantageous.

• Ability to make independent clinical decisions in accordance with state telehealth laws and professional standards.

Pay

• Earnings range from $119 to $242 per hour, based on a 60-minute session assumption that includes a combination of patient visits and hourly equivalent CPT codes.
• CPT code compensation can vary based on the clinician's license and state of licensure.

Schedule

• This is a part-time, contract (1099) position.
• Care is delivered remotely through UpLift’s telehealth platform.
• All clinical decisions are made independently by licensed providers in compliance with state telehealth laws and professional standards.
