About The Job

The Affiliate role at TrendLife™ is pivotal in scaling the company's affiliate revenue by 4–5x. Currently, TrendLife operates across Rakuten Advertising, Impact Radius, and CJ Affiliate but faces significant underperformance due to limited partner recruitment, maintenance-mode operations, and lack of a cohesive global architecture. This position will drive the transformation by owning all aspects including publisher business development, platform decisions, commission optimization, fraud prevention, and incrementality measurement.

Program Architecture and Strategy

Evaluate platform consolidation across Rakuten, Impact Radius, and CJ based on AI analysis of partner overlap, revenue attribution, and cost efficiency. Develop a 6-month growth roadmap with specific milestones, recruitment targets, and revenue projections towards the 4–5x ambition. Make strategic decisions on whether to execute agency or in-house affiliate activities.

Publisher Business Development

  • Use AI tools for partner discovery at scale, targeting high-value affiliates across various niches like technology review sites, personal finance publishers, digital lifestyle creators, coupon/deal sites, and strategic technology partners.
  • Build automated outreach workflows with AI-drafted personalized pitches, follow-up sequences, and partner onboarding communications.
  • Create clear timelines from identification to activation, powered by AI for pipeline tracking.
  • Source non-traditional partnerships such as content creators, influencer programs, and strategic distribution deals in consumer cybersecurity.

Measurement and Incrementality

  • Use AI to build affiliate performance dashboards for daily revenue tracking, partner contribution analysis, and trend detection.
  • Develop incrementality testing frameworks using AI-assisted analytics to distinguish real partner-driven revenue from brand-riding activity.
  • Collaborate with Performance & Analytics on attribution clarity, integrating affiliate measurement into the broader analytics framework.
  • Optimize commissions, predict performance, and automate partner scoring using AI.

Technology and Operations

  • Own the affiliate technology stack, including tracking platforms, fraud detection, partner discovery, and payout management.
  • Automate reporting, payout calculations, and compliance monitoring using Claude Code or Python.
  • Deploy AI-powered fraud detection systems for pattern recognition, anomaly detection, and automated flagging of suspicious activity.
  • Manage contract negotiations and network commercial terms across regions.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work with regional acquisition leads to ensure local activation and partner priorities.
  • Partner with the agency on affiliate scope, defining clear roles between in-house and agency responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with marketing and PR on co-branded campaigns and product launch activations through the partner channel.
  • Align with the SEO/content team to prevent cannibalization between organic and affiliate-driven coupon/deal content.
