Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk

About the Role

As an Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk and In-Store Grocery Shopper, you will play a vital role in ensuring a seamless and positive online shopping experience for our customers. Your primary responsibilities will include selecting, assembling, and delivering customers' online orders with a focus on freshness, quality, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Select and gather products for customers' online orders, prioritizing freshness and quality.
• Initiate and complete the selection process for online orders.
• Assemble orders, process coupons and payments, and load orders into customers' cars upon arrival.
• Scan and bag orders while adhering to bagging standards.
• Communicate substitutions or exceptions to customers' orders at the time of pick-up.
• Ensure ease of shopping, variety, freshness, and cleanliness to meet/exceed customer expectations.
• Adhere to food safety procedures, local/state/federal laws, and company guidelines.
• Receive and store products in optimal temperature zones.
• Follow directions provided in the note section of orders.
• Respond to customer calls professionally and promptly using a portable phone.
• Retrieve orders from staging locations, ensure accuracy, and load them into customers' cars.
• Process orders through the point of sale (POS) system.
• Determine appropriate substitutions for out-of-stock items following policies and procedures.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment.
• Report discrepancies and equipment issues to the store e-Commerce supervisor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Assist in training new e-Commerce team members.
• Provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements:
  • Ability to work without supervision.
  • Ability to read shelf tags.
  • Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Desired Experience:
  • Experience as a personal shopper, in a production-oriented or warehouse environment, stocking shelves, or as a cashier.
