Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk

About the role

As an In-Store Grocery Shopper and Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk, you will select and gather products for customers' online orders with attention to freshness and quality, assemble orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders to customers' cars during pick-up.

Responsibilities

• Select and gather products for customers' online orders efficiently, ensuring freshness and quality.
• Initiate and complete the selection process for online orders, scanning and bagging items on the go while adhering to all bagging standards.
• Assemble customers' online orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders into customers' cars.
• Communicate any substitutions or exceptions to the customer's order at the time of pick-up.
• Meet or exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, and cleanliness.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.
• Receive customers' orders, store products in optimal temperature zones, and follow directions in the note section.
• Ensure quality and freshness of all items chosen and communicate with customers via a portable phone professionally and promptly.
• Retrieve orders from staging locations, verify order accuracy, and load orders into customers' cars.
• Process orders through the point-of-sale (POS) system and follow policies for appropriate substitutions in case of out-of-stock items.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment.
• Report pricing, scanning, and item location discrepancies, as well as invalid temperature types, to the store e-Commerce supervisor.
• Inspect equipment and notify management of items needing repair.
• Perform required opening and closing procedures and assist in training new e-Commerce team members.
• Meet or exceed productivity standards and work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflict in a reasonable, non-confrontational, and cooperative manner.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve customer and business issues.
• Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.

Requirements

• Ability to work without supervision.
• Ability to read shelf tags and perform basic math skills (e.g., counting, addition, and subtraction).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

• Any experience as a personal shopper, in a production-oriented or warehouse environment, stocking shelves, or as a cashier is desired.
