About the role
Paul D. Camp Community College seeks an adjunct instructor to teach online English courses. The position is exempt and FLSA eligible.
Responsibilities
- Create a learning environment that facilitates students' acquisition of knowledge and skills in English.
- Design and implement curricula that align elements of student learning to their educational goals.
- Develop and adapt teaching and learning strategies to accommodate traditional and non-traditional students with diverse backgrounds and varied academic competencies.
- Utilize various technologies for communication, organization of data and course materials, presentations, etc.
- Use formative and summative assessment measures to evaluate and enhance student learning.
- Communicate effectively in oral and written forms for group or one-on-one settings.
- Stay current and continuously improve knowledge and understanding of the discipline.
- Incorporate AI into English College Composition education.
- Operate a state vehicle (if required).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with at least 18 graduate semester hours in English.
- Experience with online teaching certification and experience.
- Experience with alternative delivery methods including online, hybrid, and Hyflex course options.
- Experience with technology integration in education.
- Commitment to staying current and improving knowledge and understanding of the discipline.

Schedule
Teaching schedule varies as needed by the institution, but typically includes work during the day, evening, or weekends, as needed by the institution during the academic year.
Pay
$793 per credit hour - minimum salary. Salary may vary based on experience and qualifications.

Requirements
- Online teaching certification.
- Community college or four-year college teaching experience.
- Experience with alternative delivery methods to include online delivery, hybrid and Hyflex course options, content software, web-enhancements, etc.
- Willingness to incorporate AI into English College Composition education.
- Experience with incorporating technology into education.
