Online Biology Tutor

About the role

Learner Education is hiring Biology Tutors for a fully remote contract position. The role offers flexible scheduling and the ability to tutor other Science subjects like Chemistry, Environmental Science, or general high school science.

Responsibilities

• Support students in Biology from middle school through college level
• Tutor other Science subjects such as Chemistry, Environmental Science, or general high school science
• Tutor Math if available, which can increase schedule availability
• Set your own hours and work remotely
• Connect with students during peak hours (Monday through Thursday, 3 to 10 PM ET)
• Build a supportive community of tutors for collaboration and growth
• Receive ongoing communication and updates throughout the onboarding process

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 3 years of professional teaching or tutoring experience
• At least 1 year of relevant U.S. teaching or tutoring experience
• Must have taught or tutored within the past 2 years
• At least 1 year of online tutoring experience
• Strong understanding of the U.S. curriculum and grading standards
• Strong subject matter expertise in Biology, with the ability to tutor additional Science subjects
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Availability during peak hours (Monday through Thursday, 3 to 10 PM ET) preferred

• A stylus pen is highly recommended for clear annotations
