One Call Locator

About the role

Osmose Utilities is seeking an entry-level One Call Locator to support field operations. The role involves preparing and submitting utility locate requests to State One Call ("811") centers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with field personnel to timely submit utility locate requests to maintain operations continuity.
• Submit locate requests to state One Call centers through web sites or by phone (registration required).
• Ensure all submittals comply with applicable state regulations and requirements.
• Maintain status updates on locate requests and tickets for internal customers.
• Respond to questions and requests for additional information from state agencies, utilities, and locating contractors.
• Update locate request tracking systems with current information.
• Manage and prioritize multiple work assignments and meet deadlines.
• Communicate location and direction information accurately and concisely.
• Manage documentation related to locate requests.
• Stay updated on applicable state regulations and requirements.

Qualifications

• Currently authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• At least 1 year of customer service experience.
• Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Map reading and creation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.
• Ability to learn and utilize software and applications.
