About the role

Summary Assist with activities of daily living and provide basic nursing care to Oncology population. Assist in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Adhere to rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies.

Requirements

• Licensure Certification Needed: Yes
• Minimum Licensure: Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
• Training Required:
• Successful completion of Moffitt’s Oncology Technician orientation and checklist within the first ninety days of employment
• Basic familiarity with nursing procedures and knowledge of medical terminology
• Fundamental computer skills
• Demonstrated communication, organization and critical thinking skills

Qualifications

• Minimum Education Level: High School Diploma/GED
• Minimum Field of Study: Nursing
• Preferred Education Level: Preferred Field Of Study Preferred Education Notes: Licensure Certification Needed: Yes Minimum Licensure: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Other (If other, please enter details in section to the right)
• Minimum Licensure (Other): CNA not required for students who have completed nursing fundamental course and are actively enrolled in nursing program (LPN, ASN, ADN, BSN).
• Must submit transcripts to department manager a minimum of twice per calendar year.
• Must provide authorization to test (ATT-NCLEX RN or ATT-NCLEX-PN, schedule and pass the test within 90 days of graduation from nursing program, as appropriate.
