Oncology Tech Full Time Days

About the role

Summary Assist with activities of daily living and provide basic nursing care to Oncology population. Assist in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Adhere to rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies.

Responsibilities

• Aid in the activities of daily living for patients.
• Provide basic nursing care to the Oncology population.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Comply with all applicable rules and regulations.

Requirements

• Licensure: Basic Life Support (BLS), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
• Preferred Education: Completion of nursing fundamental course and enrollment in a nursing program (LPN, ASN, ADN, BSN).
• Training: Successful completion of Moffitt’s Oncology Technician orientation and checklist within ninety days of employment.
• Fundamental Computer Skills.
• Demonstrated Communication, Organization, and Critical Thinking Skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Nursing Field of Study.
• CNA certification not required for students actively enrolled in nursing programs.
• Must submit transcripts to department manager twice per calendar year.
• Must provide authorization to test (NCLEX-RN or NCLEX-PN) and pass the test within 90 days of graduation from nursing program.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $16.75 - $25.27 per hour. Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.

Hours and schedules vary based on department needs and patient load.
