About the Role

We are hiring an Oncology Sales Representative to support the launch of a newly approved targeted therapy for lung cancer. The representative will sell the product to oncology practices in an assigned geographic territory, engage with healthcare professionals, and develop relationships with Health Care Providers by educating them about the product and its approved indications, as well as the support services offered for cancer patients.

Responsibilities

  • Create, build, and maintain relationships and regular communication with physicians and key thought leaders in the US.
  • Utilize the customer relationship management system to keep call records, including account planning.
  • Ensure a high level of expertise and customer service is delivered to all customers.
  • Collaborate effectively and mobilize all appropriate resources.
  • Provide product scientific information to healthcare professionals, oncologists, and other key stakeholders.
  • Complete training to understand the disease state and positioning of the client’s product.
  • Travel to medical offices and hospitals (80%), with some overnight travel necessary.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS from an accredited college or university required; focus in business, life science, or clinical degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of previous pharmaceutical, medical device, and medical sales experience, with at least 1 year in oncology.
  • Understanding of the integrated oncology network.
  • Consistent track record of quantifiable/documented sales accomplishments preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, analyze, and act upon sales data within an assigned geography.
  • Solid and persuasive business communication with physicians and providers.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise good business judgment and discretion.
  • Familiarity with a Sales Force Automation (SFA) application preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel approximately 30%, up to a 2-hour radius from the headquarter city, with some overnight travel required.
  • Strong knowledge of VEEVA systems.

Additional Information

This role requires travel to medical offices and hospitals, with some overnight travel necessary. The position is based on a 40-hour workweek, potentially including weekend medical meetings.
