Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead a research laboratory in pursuit of investigator-initiated and collaborative research projects that move the field of cancer research forward to the benefit of human health.
- Publish your discoveries in leading peer reviewed publications in your field.
- Collaborate with laboratory, clinical and population science researchers to advance translational research.
Education & Mentorship
- Train and mentor postdoctoral fellows and graduate students in cancer research methodology and responsible conduct of research.
- Stimulate fellows and students to participate in mentored research projects and other scholarly activities.
- Teach a minimum of one graduate level course per year.
Institutional Collaboration
- Engage with Tulane Cancer Center leadership and the broader university community.
- Participate in the missions of the Section of Hematology & Medical Oncology, primarily research, teaching, and service.
- Engage in service responsibilities, including monthly attendance at faculty meetings and participation in University, School of Medicine, Departmental, or Section committee work.
