Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead a research laboratory in pursuit of investigator-initiated and collaborative research projects that move the field of cancer research forward to the benefit of human health.
  • Publish your discoveries in leading peer reviewed publications in your field.
  • Collaborate with laboratory, clinical and population science researchers to advance translational research.

Education & Mentorship

  • Train and mentor postdoctoral fellows and graduate students in cancer research methodology and responsible conduct of research.
  • Stimulate fellows and students to participate in mentored research projects and other scholarly activities.
  • Teach a minimum of one graduate level course per year.

Institutional Collaboration

  • Engage with Tulane Cancer Center leadership and the broader university community.
  • Participate in the missions of the Section of Hematology & Medical Oncology, primarily research, teaching, and service.
  • Engage in service responsibilities, including monthly attendance at faculty meetings and participation in University, School of Medicine, Departmental, or Section committee work.
