About the role

Join Community Health Network, a healthcare organization dedicated to providing exceptional care and engaging with its communities. The Oncology Research Monitors and Managers play a crucial role in facilitating research studies and patient navigation.

Responsibilities

  • Answer patient questions and provide research education
  • Manage study drug requests and SAE reporting
  • Attend and collaborate at Tumor Board Conferences
  • Present enrolling studies to the Tumor Board
  • Review patients' medical and medication histories
  • Initiate collaboration with the health care team
  • Develop and implement clinical study start-up activities
  • Manage new patient referrals to the oncology research team
  • Connect with patients at pivotal points in care delivery
  • Evaluate patient outcomes and provide input on treatment plans
  • Use advanced interviewing and assessment techniques to determine patient eligibility

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Science, or Clinical Research (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Within three years of hire, must hold a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC-ACRP) certification
  • Two to three years of relevant experience in clinical research or oncology
  • Experience in managing study participant care and the cancer care continuum
  • Mastery of clinical communication with both internal and external providers
  • Mastery of the Clinical Research role with skills in collaboration, delegation, negotiation, and resource management
  • Motivation and commitment as a member of the research and cancer care team
  • Compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and the organization's mission and goals

Qualifications

  • Exceptional skills in critical clinical thinking related to research study qualification
  • Mastery of clinical communication with both internal and external providers
  • Mastery of the Clinical Research role with skills in collaboration, delegation, negotiation, and resource management
  • Motivation and commitment as a member of the research and cancer care team
  • Performance consistent with professional standards of Clinical Research
  • Ability to excel as a member of a fast-paced, highly motivated team
