Responsibilities
- Serve as an advocate for patients in accessing treatment services while promoting a positive patient experience.
- Serve as a patient advocate in expediting patients’ access to hospital services, minimizing delays and ensuring a positive patient experience.
- Serve as a role model in oncology nursing for Flagler Hospital staff, acting as a resource in oncology nursing, particularly with complex clinical situations by assessing educational needs and planning programs accordingly.
- Aid in maintaining accreditation requirements for the Cancer Institute.
- Plan and implement community outreach activities for the CESC, in collaboration with community organizations including the American Cancer Society.
- Collaborate with the Hospital Medical Director, Cancer Center, in identifying and resolving patient care-related issues.
- Collaborate with the Hospital oncologists, other physicians, staff, and community/advocacy groups to facilitate and enhance coordination of cancer care across the continuum.
Qualifications
- Required Education: Bachelor's Degree Nursing
- Prior Experience: 5 to 7 years Clinical Nursing
- Required License: Active FL Nursing License and Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Preferences: Master’s degree in nursing, Breast Nurse Certification
