About the role
The Nurse Navigator is a nursing specialist responsible for coordinating patient care across the continuum, collaborating with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of treatment and care
- Provide formal patient education and community presentations
- Support group facilitation
- Ensure seamless communication among care providers
- Advocate for patient needs
Qualifications
- Graduate from an approved nursing program
- RN licensure in the practice state
- Minimum of 2 years related nursing experience
- BLS certification within 30 days of hire
Preferred Skills & Certifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- 3+ years in oncology setting
- Oncology or Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift, push, pull 50 pounds
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Perform physical tasks involving reaching, bending, kneeling, twisting, and squatting
