Oncology Nurse Clinician Full time

About the role

The Oncology Nurse Clinician position is full-time and operates on a Day Job shift (1st).

Responsibilities

• Affirms patient and family care needs and refers to appropriate resources.
• Collects and analyzes data for new patients, coordinates multidisciplinary care, and schedules appointments.
• Collaborates with patients, families, physicians, and ancillary staff to prepare for multidisciplinary clinics.
• Provides information to non-clinical staff about prospective patients.
• Communicates effectively and collaborates with other team members.
• Delegates tasks to other care providers to meet patient needs.
• Promotes a positive work environment.
• Engages in ongoing education and seeks feedback on practice.
• Uses creativity and flexibility in response to changes.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse program with an RN License in the state of Illinois.
• Current nursing experience within the past 5 years.
• BLS Certification.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Oncology Certified Nurse preferred.
