About the role
St Luke Community Healthcare is seeking a Full-Time Oncology/Infusion/Surgery Registered Nurse (RN) to join their Surgery department. The position is day shift with varying start times and requires on-call hours. Preferred candidates have experience in surgery/PACU or Oncology, or at least 2 years of nursing experience in an inpatient setting. The role functions in various areas including pre-op, PACU, infusion therapy, and OR. Candidates must be a currently licensed RN and obtain Chemo certification within 6 months of hire.
Responsibilities
- Provide care in pre-op, PACU, infusion therapy, and OR areas.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
- Manage medication administration and patient education.
- Maintain accurate documentation.
Requirements
- Current RN license.
- Chemo certification within 6 months of hire.
- Experience in surgery/PACU or Oncology, or 2+ years of inpatient nursing experience.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of oncology and infusion therapy principles.
