Job Summary
The Talent Acquisition Coordinator works in partnership with an assigned team of recruiters to manage an efficient workflow for successful hiring and pre-boarding process for new employees. Responsible for supporting a pro-active team environment that allows Rush University Medical Center to ensure applicants and managers have a positive experience. Detail oriented with proven customer service skills and strong prioritization capabilities are key. The individual who holds this position exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

$23.12 - $32.66 per hour
Other Information Required
- Associate’s degree with a minimum of two years or more of prior administrative support experience required OR five years of specific recruitment administrative support experience required.
- A minimum of three years’ work experience in a busy, fast-paced environment, preferably human resources, customer service, or hospitality.
- Strong customer service skills and experience handling difficult conversations.
- Exceptional organizational and follow-through skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong sense of urgency, adaptability, flexibility, and resourcefulness.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all types of individuals.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
Responsibilities
- Entry, maintenance, and integrity of data in applicant tracking systems.
- Maintains candidate statuses and ensures accuracy within the applicant tracking system.
- Establishes and develops solid working relations with hiring managers, recruiters, applicants and new hires.
- Responsible for all pre-employment activities including initiating background checks, monitoring progress, and providing regular updates to all necessary parties.
- Collections and tracks all pre-employment documentation to ensure proper compliance measures are met.
- Proactively troubleshoots issues related to employment clearance and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the issue.
- Solves issues in a timely manner.
- Mets with new hires to execute new hire paperwork including verification of I-9 documentation and license/certification verification (if appropriate).
- Conducts fingerprinting for IDPH and UCIA.
- Assists with training new staff.
- Assists with recruitment fairs and open houses.
- Generates applicant tracking system reports for various areas, including the Division of Nursing and New Hire Orientation.
- Provides reports as needed.
- Covers front desk as needed, which includes greeting visitors and candidates.
- Administers pre-employment tests.
