About the role
As an Onboarding and Licensing Specialist at MedElite, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and efficient onboarding experience for new hires while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage provider onboarding from hire through readiness to start.
- Collect, review, and maintain required provider documentation, credentials, licenses, and certifications.
- Process and track provider licensing applications, renewals, and related state requirements.
- Communicate with providers, state licensing boards, facilities, and internal teams to obtain required information and resolve outstanding items.
- Maintain accurate provider information and documentation in company systems.
- Aid in credentialing packets, collaborative/supervisory agreements, and other provider requirements as needed.
- Identify and escalate issues that may delay a provider's start date.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Be cross-trained in both Onboarding and Licensing and provide support to either function based on departmental needs.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in onboarding, human resources, or a similar role within a medical or healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations, certifications, and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, OSHA).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience in medical staffing, healthcare management, or a similar environment.
- Knowledge of employee benefits and payroll systems.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and onboarding software.
