• Strong knowledge of statistics / R programming
• Good writing ability and the ability to explain concepts to new readers
• Broader analytics / data science background
• Knowledge of SQL and basic database management
• Other programming languages
• Web development experience

Roles

• 100% remote and virtual
• The ideal candidate is like either a working professional or graduate student who wants to earn some extra money after hours

What You’ll Be Doing

• Any material can be published under your by-line, so you are welcome to link to it and otherwise claim authorship for your CV
• No resume needed to apply; we would appreciate a couple of bullet points regarding your statistical / technical education, any teaching or tutorial writing experience (student teaching / TA support is fine), and highlights of any paid professional experience in the field
• If you have a recent writing sample (term paper, blog, etc.) & R code sample that might also be helpful

Compensation

Will be per article (primarily because of a general lack of desire on our part to be in a position where we need to care about what people are doing and when)

How to Apply

• We will provide topic and a creative brief (you’re welcome to suggest topics)
• You will need to research the topic and write an appropriate piece
• Please let me know what you would charge for an article with ~ 500 words, ~1000 words, and ~2000 words
• We will reach out to high potential candidates to propose a (paid) test article
