On-Site Service Technician
About the role
Imperial Supplies, a Grainger Company, is a national distributor of quality maintenance products serving the fleet maintenance industry since 1958. This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with no weekends or holidays. Paid Time Off includes 18 days available during your first year. Imperial offers Day 1 benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage. Additionally, we provide seven paid holidays, and the company contributes 6% to a 401K with immediate vesting.
Responsibilities
- Stock and organize inventory, scan and replenish products, ensuring everything is in the right place.
- Build strong working relationships with customers and internal teams, identify needs, implement solutions, and continuously improve how products are stocked and used.
- Analyze inventory usage, recommend improvements, and ensure each site meets safety and operational standards.
Requirements
- Strong customer service skills and a mechanical aptitude.
- Comfortable identifying parts and working in an industrial setting.
- Enjoy a hands-on role, be organized, and feel confident working independently while staying connected with a larger team.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
Bonus if you have
- Experience in field service, automotive or fleet maintenance, or parts/inventory management.
- Technical training or education.
What to Expect
This is an active, on-site role where you will spend most of your day standing, walking, and handling materials in customer maintenance facilities. Some environments may be loud or not climate-controlled—but you will play a key role in keeping things running efficiently.
