On-Site Psychiatrist - Weekends

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments to diagnose mental health disorders.
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications ensuring that treatment plans are effective and adjusted as needed.
• Create individualized treatment plans that include medication management, psychotherapy, and other interventions.
• Chart audits, peer review, meetings, provider management, etc.
• Maintain up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and standards of care.
• Maintain and monitor confidentiality of patients and their files; audit files to determine that all services provided are documented; review status of patients to verify that all treatment and therapeutic programs are completed.
• Work closely with psychologists, social workers, nurses, and staff to provide integrated and coordinated care.
• Provide immediate psychiatric care in crisis situations, such as suicide attempts or acute psychiatric episodes, and work to prevent incidents through proactive mental health management.
• Comply with the requirements of applicable regulations, laws, rules, procedures, policies, standards and/or contract.

Qualifications

• A MO medical license is required.
• Two years of inpatient experience, including trauma experience, is required.
• The psychiatrist must be board certified or eligible within one year of residency completion in Psychiatry.
• A valid and unrestricted DEA is required.
• The psychiatrist must be proficient in using Telemedicine technologies to treat patients remotely.
• Experience collaborating with PMHNPs is preferred.

Pay

The pay range for this role is: 190 - 210 USD per hour (Kansas City, MO)
