About the role

Start your career as a Manufacturing Operator at GlobalFoundries. You’ll join a team producing microelectronic chips used in cellphones, computers, tablets, vehicles, and more. No prior experience is required—we provide full training. Operators work on toolsets and equipment via computers and modules, playing a critical role in semiconductor production.

Responsibilities

• Work in a clean room environment wearing gloves and a clean room suit.
• Sustain and run the manufacturing floor.
• Set up and operate equipment per Standard Operating Procedures.
• Work in a team environment to meet production goals.
• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner, supporting Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements.
• Complete other responsibilities as assigned by manager.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• English language fluency (written and verbal).
• Ability to stand for a 12-hour shift (excluding breaks).
• Comfort wearing a clean room uniform.
• Compliance with all GlobalFoundries pre-employment screening requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds periodically during the shift.
• Basic computer and email skills.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to receive and follow instructions.
• Ability to find information in spreadsheets or on websites.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Prior work experience in a manufacturing setting.

Pay

• Night Shift: $23.63/hour (includes shift differential).
• Day Shift: $21.00/hour.
• Sign-on Bonus: $5,000 for Night Shift; $2,500 for Day Shift.
• Expected salary range: $35,400 – $55,300 (exact salary based on qualifications, experience, and location).

Schedule

• Night Shift: 7PM – 7AM.
• Day Shift: 7AM – 7PM.
• Work approximately 14 days per month with occasional overtime available.
