On-site Field Service Technician, Cleveland OH Area

About the role

We are seeking a Service Technician to join our TIBA Parking Systems team in the Cleveland, OH area. This position will require on-call duties and involves on-site service and maintenance for our parking and access control hardware and software installations, primarily in the Minneapolis area.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site service and maintenance for parking and access control hardware and software installations.
• Support multiple products, including electronics, mechanical devices, and PC-based systems.
• Work with various operating systems and networking technologies.
• Offer software and hardware support for clients and other field service technicians.
• Assist in the installation of state-of-the-art Parking and Revenue Control systems and Access Control equipment, including equipment bolt-down, wiring termination, establishing communications to software hosts, configuring, and testing new equipment under the direction of a Project Manager.

Requirements

• Electronics technical school training or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work on proprietary software, hardware communications, programming, and repair.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Clean driving record.
• Experience with SQL Server database maintenance and Microsoft Operating Systems.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, particularly with customers, and the ability to work well in a team environment.

Skills

• Knowledge of electronics and mechanical devices.
• PC computer skills and familiarity with various operating systems and networking.
• Bonus skills:
  • Knowledge of MS Windows software and operating systems.
  • Experience with network and/or communication systems.
  • MS Network and MS A+ Certifications.
