On-Site AV Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an On-Site Audio Visual Design Engineer in Memphis, TN, who embodies our mission of delivering a fantastic customer experience. This role requires a passion for AV technology, creative problem-solving, and adherence to Enterprise AV standards.

Responsibilities

• Design AV signal flows and create detailed AV design diagrams.
• Work with existing architecture and electrical frameworks to design AV rooms.
• Troubleshoot existing AV infrastructure and resolve complex issues.
• Develop and write Q-SYS design files at a Level 2 programming proficiency.
• Ensure designs align with Enterprise AV standards while providing innovative solutions.
• Stay current with emerging AV integration technologies.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to bring ideas to life.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) and system commissioning on AV systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct daily operational checks and routine system health assessments.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience designing AV signal flows and AV design diagrams.
• Q-SYS Programming: Level 2 proficiency required (some LUA required).
• Solid understanding and proficiency of AV networking principles (VLANs, IP addressing, and AV-over-IP concepts).
• Associate degree preferred but not required; experience and skill level matter most.
• Must pass a criminal background check and motor vehicle check.

• Base salary: $80,000 - $100,000 (DOE).
