On Premise Sales Consultant (Non-Commission)

About the role
The On Premise Sales Consultant is a field-based sales role focused on selling, servicing, developing, and growing the GLWAS portfolio of products within established customer accounts in and around Macomb County. This position offers a phenomenal introduction to both sales and the adult beverage industry, backed by one of the strongest portfolios and a winning team culture. Performance-based upward mobility into on-premise, independent, or management roles is available.
Responsibilities
- Service a specified group of accounts in your "Master Routes," growing total territory volume and revenue while achieving company growth objectives.
- Achieve monthly objectives on priority brands, specified programs, and qualitative initiatives.
- Perform at or above the divisional minimum standard for Well, Drink Menu, Back Bar placements, and specified programs in your assigned territory.
- Build positive business relationships with decision-makers in assigned accounts.
- Deliver prepared, professional, persuasive, fact-based, and personalized sales presentations.
- Develop and maintain excellent product knowledge of GLWAS products and competitive products to enhance sales.
- Demonstrate initiative to grow overall spirits, beverage, and category knowledge.
- Ensure account "Standards of Performance" are met through account conditions.
- Enhance pull-through with proper use of promotional materials and services.
- Monitor inventory in all areas of the account, including Well and Back Bar, to generate greater sales.
- Regularly review lists and features to ensure accuracy and GLWAS share.
- Ensure promotional materials are accurate, relevant, up-to-date, and advantageously placed.
- Utilize pre-plan and tracking forms as instructed to execute priorities.
- Proactively communicate with customers and management.
- Align daily activities with company needs and priorities, as directed.
- Collaborate with the sales team and division by being a contributor.
- Utilize samples efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked vehicle with adequate point-of-sale materials.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Field-based position with daily travel, driving in all weather conditions.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, stooping, and climbing throughout the day.
- Lifting, stacking, moving, and rotating items without handles weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Pushing and pulling carts up to 100 pounds of force; operating warehouse equipment may be required.
Pay
- $36,000 - $38,000 per year (paid semi-monthly).
- $400 monthly car allowance (non-taxed).

Schedule
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. Employees may set their schedules to meet route needs based on customer locations. Evenings and weekend hours may be required based on holiday schedules and business needs.
Requirements
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- High school diploma or GED (bachelor's degree preferred).
- Sales experience (2 years preferred).
- Retail experience (2 years preferred).
- Proficient in Microsoft and iOS devices (Outlook, Excel, iPad).
- Positive and entrepreneurial attitude.
- Success-oriented, competitive, and creative mindset.
- Desire to learn and implement new skills.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

- Adhere to company policies and procedures outlined in the employee policy manual and applicable contracts.
- Cooperate with all management and staff.
- Follow all Michigan Liquor Control Commission (MLCC) rules and regulations.
- Use alcohol responsibly when related to business activities.
- Pass pre-employment screenings, including a background check, physical evaluation, agility (lift) test, and drug screen.
