About the Role

As an On-Demand Team Member (TM), you'll have the flexibility to work as much or as little as you like, creating your own schedule by picking up shifts that fit your needs. This role is ideal for those seeking a personalized work schedule. You'll be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, both in-store and digitally, while ensuring a welcoming and efficient shopping experience.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests, provide assistance, and exceed service expectations.
  • Promote and engage guests around Target's loyalty programs, services, and offerings.
  • Operate checklanes, handle cash transactions, and support guest services like Order Pick Up and Drive Up.
  • Maintain store cleanliness, stock supplies, and ensure a clutter-free work area.
  • Assist with returns, resolve guest concerns, and de-escalate situations as needed.
  • Support Cash Office processes and manage cash systems.
  • Work efficiently to minimize guest wait times while maintaining accuracy and service quality.
  • Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Flexibility to work varying hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times.
  • Active engagement by picking up shifts at least once every 4 weeks (minimum 4 hours) and responding to contact attempts.
  • Ability to work at least one shift within 5 months to maintain employment.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally, and remain mobile during shifts.
  • Capability to work in varying temperatures and environments, including Drive-Up and carryout duties.

Qualifications

  • Effective communication skills, including positive language and attentiveness to guest needs.
  • Ability to remain composed and focused in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
  • Attention to detail while handling multiple tasks.
  • Willingness to educate guests about products, services, and Target offerings.
  • Proficiency with technology, including handheld scanners and mobile scheduling apps.

Pay

Starting hourly rate: $18.00 USD per hour.

Schedule

On-Demand Team Members create their own schedules by picking up shifts posted via the myTime mobile scheduling app. Shifts vary based on store needs and availability.
