ALL ABOUT ON DEMAND

  • You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand Team Member (TM) and your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs.
  • This role is ideal for those that are looking for a personalized work schedule.
  • As an On-Demand TM, you will not be included on the posted weekly schedule, but rather will have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members (via our myTime mobile scheduling app) that work best with your schedule.
  • Reliable and prompt attendance is necessary when you choose to pick up a shift.
  • You are required to work at least one shift within 5 months or your employment with Target will be administratively terminated.
  • You need to respond to our attempts at contact to confirm your interest in working shifts at Target.
  • You must work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service and accuracy.
  • You are expected to support guest services such as order pick up (OPU), Drive-up (DU) Orders, DU Returns and maintain a compliance culture while executing those duties, such as compliance with federal, state, and local adult beverage laws.
  • You are capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties including but not limited to Drive-Up, carryout, etc.
  • You are able to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary).

SERVICE & ENGAGEMENT

  • Communicating and interacting with guests to build an inclusive guest experience
  • Blending problem solving and decision making to positively impact the guest experience and resolve guest concerns
  • Adapting to different guest interactions and situations
  • Promoting and engaging around various benefits, offerings and services
  • Knowing and speaking to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs with every guest and assisting with application or sign-up as needed
  • Understanding and showing guests how to use Wallet and the other features and offerings within the Target App
  • Attempting every return and following register prompts, partnering with immediate leaders as needed to help solve for the guest while following Target’s policies and procedures
  • Partnering with leaders as needed to de-escalate any situations and recover the guest shopping experience while following Target’s policies and procedures
  • Delivering easy and accurate service to all Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests
  • Maintaining a clean, clutter free work area (including gathering abandoned items, baskets, and hangers)
  • Stocking supplies during store open hours while being available for the guest
  • Demonstrating a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance

    • Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.
    • Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and other team members
    • Attention to detail while multi-tasking
    • Willing to educate guests and engage around products and services
    • Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed.
    • Work both independently and with a team
