About the Role

As an On-Demand Team Member (TM) at Target, you'll have the flexibility to work as much or as little as you like, creating your own schedule by picking up shifts that fit your availability. This role is ideal for those seeking a personalized work schedule. You'll be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, both in-store and digitally, while ensuring a welcoming and efficient shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, provide assistance, and exceed service expectations
• Promote and engage guests around Target's loyalty programs, services, and offerings
• Operate checklanes, handle cash transactions, and support cash office operations
• Assist with order pick-up, drive-up, and registry services
• Maintain store cleanliness, stock supplies, and organize merchandise
• Resolve guest concerns and de-escalate situations while adhering to company policies
• Support fulfillment services and guide guests on using the Target App and Wallet features
• Work efficiently to minimize guest wait times while maintaining accuracy and service quality

Requirements

• Availability to work varying hours, days, or shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times
• Active engagement by picking up and working shifts at least once every 4 weeks (minimum 4 hours)
• Response to contact attempts from Target to confirm interest in working shifts
• Attendance at a Target Welcome orientation and completion of structured training

Qualifications

• Effective communication skills, including positive language and attentiveness to guest needs
• Ability to remain composed and focused in a fast-paced environment
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
• Attention to detail while multi-tasking
• Willingness to educate guests and engage around products and services
• Capability to operate handheld scanners, cash registers, and other technology equipment

Physical Demands

• Frequently lift or move merchandise up to 10 pounds
• Occasionally lift or move merchandise up to 44 pounds without assistance
• Remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift
• Work in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements during certain job duties (e.g., Drive-Up, carryout)

Starting Pay

$17.75 USD per hour
