On‑Demand Schedule

This role is ideal for those seeking a personalized work schedule. As an On‑Demand Team Member you will not appear on the posted weekly schedule; instead you create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members via the myTime mobile scheduling app. Reliable and prompt attendance is required when you choose a shift, and you must pick up and work shifts at least once every four weeks (minimum of four hours). Failure to respond to contact attempts or to work at least one shift within five months may result in termination. You will attend a Target Welcome orientation and a short‑term structured training program before using the app to select shifts.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks.
• Engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs.
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to solve issues and improve the guest experience.
• Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target.
• Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices.
• Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service accuracy.
• Inform guests about current and upcoming brand launches, store activities, and events.
• Promote and assist with Target Loyalty program sign‑ups.
• Direct guests to enroll, activate, and use fulfillment services.
• Explain Wallet and other features within the Target App.
• Process returns following register prompts and partner with leaders as needed.
• Partner with leaders to de‑escalate situations and recover the guest shopping experience.
• Deliver easy and accurate service to Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests.
• Maintain a clean, clutter‑free work area (including gathering abandoned items, baskets, and hangers).
• Stock supplies during store open hours while remaining available for guests.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely, follow policies, and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as order pick up, Drive‑up orders, Drive‑up returns, and comply with adult beverage laws.
• Support Cash Office processes as needed, including management of cash systems.
• Perform all other duties based on business needs.

• Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including lifting up to 10 lb frequently and up to 44 lb occasionally without assistance.
• Flexibility to pick up shifts (nights, weekends, holidays) to meet store needs.
• Active engagement by picking up and working shifts and responding to contact attempts; must work at least one shift within five months or employment will be terminated.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing duties such as Drive‑Up and carryout.
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.

Pay

Starting hourly rate: $16.00 USD per hour.
