About the Role

As an On-Demand Team Member (TM) at Target, you'll have the flexibility to work as much or as little as you like, creating your own schedule by picking up shifts that fit your availability. This role is ideal for those seeking a personalized work schedule. You'll be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, both in-store and digitally, while ensuring a welcoming and efficient shopping experience.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests, provide assistance, and exceed service expectations
  • Promote and engage guests around Target's loyalty programs, services, and offerings
  • Operate cash registers, handle transactions, and support cash office operations
  • Scan and bag guest items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with safety standards
  • Maintain a clean and clutter-free work area, including stocking supplies and gathering abandoned items
  • Support fulfillment services, such as Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry
  • Assist with returns, following Target's policies and procedures
  • Work in a safe manner, complying with safety policies and reporting hazards

Requirements

  • Flexibility to work varying hours, days, or shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times
  • Active engagement by picking up and working shifts at least once every 4 weeks (minimum 4 hours)
  • Response to contact attempts from Target to confirm interest in working shifts
  • Attendance at a Target Welcome orientation and completion of structured training

Qualifications

  • Effective communication skills, including positive language and attentiveness to guest needs
  • Ability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
  • Attention to detail while multi-tasking
  • Willingness to educate guests and engage around products and services
  • Ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment

Physical Demands

  • Frequently lift or move merchandise up to 10 pounds
  • Occasionally lift or move merchandise up to 44 pounds without assistance
  • Remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift
  • Work in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing job duties

Starting Hourly Rate

$16.50 USD per hour
