About the role

Target’s On‑Demand Team Member (TM) role lets you create your own schedule by picking up shifts via the myTime mobile app. You help families discover the joy of everyday life through guest service, loyalty enrollment, store cleanliness, and supporting fulfillment services such as Order Pick Up, Drive‑Up, and Gift Registry.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests within 10 ft (friendly smile, eye contact, wave) and within 4 ft (warm, helpful interaction).
• Help guests find what they need and resolve issues for a smooth shopping experience.
• End each guest transaction with a sincere thank you.
• Support team efforts and assist peers while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy, inspiring guest experience.
• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes guest service standards.
• Scan and bag guest items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with food safety standards.
• Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy.
• Inform guests of current and upcoming brand launches, store activities, and events.
• Promote Target Loyalty programs and assist with application, sign‑up, and sign‑in.
• Direct guests to fulfillment services (Order Pick Up, Drive‑Up, Registry) and explain how to use Wallet and Target App features.
• Process returns following register prompts and partner with leaders to resolve issues.
• Partner with leaders to de‑escalate situations and recover the guest shopping experience.
• Maintain a clean, clutter‑free work area (gather abandoned items, baskets, hangers).
• Stock supplies during store open hours while remaining available for guests.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; report hazards and correct where possible.
• Support guest services such as Order Pick Up, Drive‑Up, DU Returns while complying with adult beverage laws.
• Perform any other duties based on business needs.
