On Call Target Systems Expert
About the Role
Fermilab's Target Systems Department is seeking the assistance of an On-Call Target Systems Expert in operation of target stations and associated functions (radiological disposal, writing and reviewing procedures, etc). The On-Call Target Systems Expert supports the operation of target stations by providing technical assistance, troubleshooting, and operational guidance. This position helps maintain system readiness and ensures timely resolution of issues affecting target station operations and associated functions.
What your day-to-day as an On Call Target Systems Expert at Fermilab will look like
- Providing unique periodic/special reports and expert advice to assigned area.
- Providing specialized or unique skills in the development and implementation of Fermilab's project, program, or experiment.
- You will be considered a subject matter expert, providing guidance, skills, and interpretation of technical knowledge relative to assigned area.
- Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Absiding by and being responsible for performing all duties in accordance with all environmental, health and safety regulations and practices pertinent to this position.
