About the role
We are looking for an On-Call Substitute Teacher to teach middle school-level students, high school-level students, or both.
Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare learning activities and lessons
- Assist with study skills, math, reading, and writing classes
- Assist with student progress evaluation and report-writing
- Work effectively with others in planning and evaluating learning activities
Requirements
- Four-year degree in Education
- Classroom experience
- Knowledge of and sensitivity to special needs of students
- Able to treat each student with respect, fairness, flexibility, and in a professional manner
- Proficient with MS Office software (Word and Excel), Internet, communication systems, online grading systems, and assistive technology
- Able to select and use appropriate training/instructional methods and procedures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to listen to and understand information presented through spoken words, written material, multimedia, and audiovisual sources
- High level of customer service, responding promptly and thoroughly to inquiries and needs
- Understand and maintain confidentiality of student, organization, and employee information, including HIPAA regulations

$160.00 per day
