On Call Residential Care Associate I - 5803

About the role

We are looking for an On Call Residential Care Associate I to join our team in the Lane County region including Eugene and Springfield, Oregon. The On Call Residential Care Associate I will provide caring companionship and assistance with daily tasks to clients, supporting individuals to develop appropriate daily living skills and independent activities of daily living to increase or maintain their level of functioning.

• Assist with meal preparation, clean-up, and food purchasing while encouraging client participation
• Pass medications and perform delegated medical care as prescribed by the client’s primary care provider, under the guidance of a Registered Nurse
• Transport clients to and from the program as necessary to engage and provide treatment services
• Maintain compliance with established productivity standards for documentation of services

On Call staff must:

• Work a minimum of 32 shift hours per month
• Attend a minimum of one staff meeting per month (and clinical supervision if a QMHA)
• Stay current on company training
• Respond to facility requesting coverage within 2 hours of initial call (in some cases, more notice can be provided)

Requirements

• Caregiving and/or mental health experience (personal or professional) is preferred
• A dedication to the wellbeing of each resident and helping them complete their activities of daily living (ADLs) and independent activities of daily living (IADLs)
• Driving is an essential function of this position; successful applicants must provide a valid driver's license from their state of residence or obtain and submit one within 30 days of hire, maintain a safe driving record, and pass a DHS criminal background check
• Must be 18 or older at the time of hire (per OAR 309-035-0135)

Physical Demands

This position requires the ability to:

• Frequently talk, listen, use hands and fingers, reach, stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, and climb stairs
• Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds
• Occasionally use ladders, squat/kneel, and perform other physical tasks as applicable
• Successfully complete crisis de-escalation and CPR trainings, which require performing various physical, hands-on maneuvers and techniques, including lifting and transferring clients

Pay

$21.42 - $22.07 per hour, based on experience and credentials.

Differentials (subject to position, program, and eligibility requirements):

• Night Shift (NOC) Differential: An additional $3.00 per hour for hours worked between 10:00 PM and 8:30 AM, provided that at least 2.5 hours of your shift occur within this designated period
• Secure Program Differential: An additional $2.00 per hour for all hours worked in an eligible CCS secure program
• Bilingual Differential: An additional 5% pay differential for employees who meet the qualifications of the CCS Language/Bilingual Program (additional 5% offered for Bilingual or Multilingual candidates)

Days and hours will vary and may include holidays, weekends, and night shifts.
