This recruitment will be used to fill various On-Call Pharmacist positions throughout the Multnomah County Pharmacy Clinics.

The mission of MCHD Pharmacy Services is to provide exceptional pharmaceutical care for vulnerable, underinsured, and uninsured clients. We deliver cost-effective medication and medication management services that positively and compassionately impact the health and well-being of those we serve.
Responsibilities
- Provide medication dispensing including correct entry of prescription orders into the pharmacy management software, filling of prescription orders, and performing drug utilization review for drug/therapeutic appropriateness (DUR).
- Review work of pharmacy technicians assisting in the preparation of prescription orders.
- Model and demonstrate best practices in medication dispensing.
- Provide consultation and education to patients on the use of their medications.
- Ensure adequate inventory of drugs and supplies are kept for the clinic and pharmacy clients and that all record keeping is maintained.
- Consult with medical providers as needed or on request, providing pharmaceutical information for clinical staff and patients.
- Actively participate in initiatives designed to promote a safe work environment.
Requirements
- Pharm.D. or Bachelor of Pharmacy with equivalent experience from an accredited college or university.
- Six (6) months of Licensed Pharmacist Experience.
- Currently licensed as a Registered Pharmacist in good standing by the Oregon Board of Pharmacy.
- Valid CPR / BLS Certification upon hire OR within 30 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong Communication Skills.
- Community Pharmacy Experience.
- Cultural competencies: Knowledge and understanding of culture, traditions, attitudes, beliefs, social experience, and history of those experiencing oppression and barriers to opportunity. Understanding of the origins and results of disparities related to racism and socio-economic injustices.
- Transferable skills gained through education, work experience (including military), or life experience relevant to this position.
Pay
$69.77 - $91.78 hourly.
Schedule
- On-Call position.
- Monday - Friday.
- Shift times vary between 8:30 AM to 5 PM, 9 AM to 5:30 PM, and 9:30 AM to 6 PM.
- This position will float between the various Multnomah County Clinic Pharmacies based on coverage needs.
