On-Call Interventional Radiology Nurse

About the Role

Provides comprehensive care in the Cardiac Cath Lab, performing procedures as circulator, scrub, or monitor. Ensures patient safety, proper preparation, and effective communication with patients and families. Administers medications, manages hemostasis, and documents charges accurately. Capable of independently caring for critically ill patients in high-stress situations and educating patients about procedures. May perform point-of-care testing and assist families within the clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Cath Lab procedures and patient care
• Prepare patients and ensure accurate documentation
• Administer medications and monitor patient condition
• Educate patients and families about procedures and care
• Maintain safety and perform additional assigned tasks

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with valid licensure
• No prior experience required
• Physical stamina for constant standing, walking, lifting, and other movements
• Excellent communication, critical judgment, and attention to detail

Certifications & Licenses

• Current BLS (AHA)
• RN license (state-specific: Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Wisconsin)
• ALS or PALS certification
