On-Call Housekeeper
About the role
We are seeking an On-Call Housekeeper to join our team. The Housekeeper will be responsible for ensuring that guest rooms, communal areas, and facilities are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work, contributing to a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all visitors.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas.
- Change linens, make beds, and replenish guest room supplies as needed.
- Sweep, mop, dust, vacuum, and perform general cleaning duties.
- Maintain laundry services, including washing, drying, and folding linens and towels.
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate staff.
- Ensure cleaning supplies are stocked and properly stored.
- Uphold the retreat center’s commitment to hospitality and cleanliness.
Qualifications & Skills
- Prior experience in housekeeping, hospitality, or a similar role preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, on an as-needed basis.
- A positive and respectful attitude towards guests and staff.
Role Details
Reports to our Operations Manager
Pay
Starting wage is $17–22/hr, dependent on experience
