On-Call Home Health Aide
About the role
The On-Call Community Care Aide (CCA) assists older adults (age 55+) with their activities of daily living at their place of residence. Responsibilities include toileting, bathing, dressing, and other personal care tasks. CCA must be able to respond quickly to changing circumstances and be available to cover care during the on-call timeframe.
Shifts Available
- 2p-10p Sat & Sun
- 4pm-10pm Wed,Thur
- 6am-2pm Sat & Sun
Pay Rate
$16.50/hr. and up (based on experience)
Required Education
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Required Experience
Experience working with the frail/elderly population is preferred.
Required Skills
- Discretion, tact, patience, and good judgment
- Empathetic and compassionate attitude in caring for the elderly
- Ability to understand and carry out non-technical verbal and written directions
- Ability to get along well with others and gain the cooperation of the participants
- Routine work involving the personal care and program activities of participants
