ON-CALL Direct Care Worker/Caregiver

Job Duties

Here are some of the ways our DCWs support our clients and their unique needs.

• Personal Care (assistance with bathing/toileting/general grooming etc.)
• Must be comfortable providing personal care to all genders and ages
• Meal Preparation
• Medication Administration
• Housekeeping (laundry, dishes, vacuuming, cleaning personal spaces etc.)
• General Supervision
• DCWs also can provide respite services to clients that include similar tasks. This allows the primary caregiver (typically a family member) to take a break from their duties while knowing their loved one is cared for in their absence.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Ability to travel independently to and from client’s visits
• Willingness to transport clients during shifts as requested
• Ability to obtain a FA/CPR certification
• Ability to obtain Tuberculosis clearance
• Successful fingerprint and DES/CPS/APS clearance
• Ability to work without direct supervision
• Availability during one or more of the above on-call time slots
• At least one year prior experience as a paid caregiver is mandatory
