On-Call Concierge, Hope Lodge

The Concierge serves as the first point of contact for guests, managing front desk operations and ensuring a welcoming, safe, and supportive environment at our Hope Lodge facility in Minneapolis, MN. This is a part-time role typically entailing less than 20 hours per week, with shifts based on business needs. We are looking for individuals with daytime availability during the week and weekends; evening availability is also a plus.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests and manage check-in and check-out procedures (30%)
- Provide information about lodge amenities and community resources (20%)
- Coordinate transportation & EMPOWER Program services and schedules (15%)
- Respond to guest requests, concerns, and emergencies (15%)
- Maintain organized front desk area and accurate guest records (10%)
- Monitor lobby security and implement safety protocols (10%)
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of Customer Service Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality, guest services, or a related field is preferred
- Additional education or training in hospitality management or customer service is a plus
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and multitask
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and multi-line phone systems
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends
Physical Requirements
- Extended periods of standing and walking, particularly during front desk duties and while assisting guests
- Occasional lifting and moving of luggage, packages, or other items when assisting guests with check-in, check-out, or transportation
- Manual tasks such as carrying luggage or opening doors for guests
- Physical endurance to handle the demands of a fast-paced environment, including managing multiple tasks and assisting guests throughout the day
