On-Call Banquet Server (Part Time - Grouse Mountain Lodge)
About the role
Provide welcoming, timely, and efficient service to guests during banquets and events
Set up event spaces according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), including tables, chairs, linens, place settings, glassware, and décor
Assist with buffet, plated, and reception style service, including food running, tray service, and clearing courses
Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with state laws and company policies
Monitor guest needs throughout events, refilling beverages, replacing items, and responding to requests
Clear tables, reset service ware, and maintain a clean, organized event space during and after functions
Assist with setup and teardown of bars, buffets, stations, and coffee breaks as directed
Handle cash, room charge, or POS orders as needed in line with property procedures
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in service areas, side stations, and back-of-house spaces
Follow all safety guidelines, including safe lifting, carrying trays, and handling hot or sharp items
Communicate effectively with Banquet Captains, Banquet Manager, Culinary, and other team members to support smooth event execution
Be flexible and available for on-call shifts, often on evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event schedules
Assist teammates where needed and act as a utility player who can complete a variety of job duties
Perform other job related duties as assigned by the Banquet Manager or Banquet Captain

Requirements
1–2 years of experience in a full-service restaurant, hotel, or banquet setting preferred
Previous banquet or event serving experience preferred
Experience with hospitality POS systems preferred
Skills
- Strong guest service skills with a friendly, professional, and welcoming demeanor
- Ability to carry trays, plates, and glassware safely and confidently
- Good communication skills and comfort interacting with guests, planners, and teammates
- Organized with a great eye for detail in table settings, presentation, and cleanliness
- Able to follow directions, BEOs, and service standards consistently
- Team oriented, positive, and upbeat, willing to help wherever needed
- Able to follow Safety First and to high standards of cleaning and sanitizing
- Ability to stay calm, flexible, and solution focused in a fast-paced environment
- Able to communicate with Banquet leadership via Microsoft Teams regarding shift availability and scheduling
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
