On Call Banquet Server

About the role

The Bradley is seeking a highly motivated Banquet Server to join our team. This individual will assist with setting up and preparing banquet rooms for functions, serving and clearing tables, and performing other duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet rooms by draping tables, setting silverware, folding napkins, preparing drinks, and placing table centerpieces.
• Service tables by picking up food from the back hall, carrying trays to the function location, serving food, and clearing the tables.
• Break down banquet rooms by bussing tables, putting away dirty linen and centerpieces, and vacuuming.
• Perform event room setup duties during AM or PM break stations, including stocking coffee, tea, snacks, beverages, and other supplies.
• Assist with food and beverage preparation tasks such as preparing condiments, brewing coffee, and ensuring workstations are stocked.
• Serve food and beverages to guests, remove dishes, glasses, silverware, or other items from tables/counter tops, and take them to the kitchen.
• Clean and sanitize tables and/or counters & seats after guests are finished, explain how various menu items are prepared, cooking methods, and ingredients, and address any guest issues promptly and with high concern.
• Maintain constant awareness of safety issues and provide assistance to other event and restaurant staff as needed.
• Ensure final quality check on food and beverage items prior to serving guests.
• Monitor assigned tables for customer satisfaction, quality, and additional service.

Requirements

We are looking for someone with 2-4 years of food service experience, preferably in banquet service. Experience in a 4-star or 5-star venue with synchronized service is preferred. Knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails, and spirits is beneficial. The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment is essential. A passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests and excellent communication skills are also required.
